Swim lessons 2008!

The first video has Carsen, Covin and Dallin in it they wanted the boys to race. Covin took off before he should have. We were quite shocked at how fast he can swim. Plus we didn't even realize he could REALLY swim. Each lifeguard they have is different every week. Some of them push the kids and the other ones just walk them and play. I am so excited that he can swim, he did so good! We are very proud of him and just need to keep up with it so he doesn't forget! :)

I am the WINNER!!!!

Yet another long week! This has been a very successful week for me for all that I have WON! This is Conner my kid who does not like to go to bed until 10pm-midnight! Well, I cannot handle it with everything that is going on. It is one thing if he would sleep in from going to bed so late, BUT oh no he will still get up at the sight of any sunlight, even though I have put tinfoil on their windows to block out the light it does not work! That boy will be up between 6:30 and 7:00 am! So night after night I complained to Shaffen, so what does he tell me???? STOP giving him naps! HMMM.....maybe he does know something! We stopped giving him naps. This is how I have been finding Conner between 7:30 and 8:00 pm!!! YEAH!!!! It worked!

He seems to just crash anywhere! Last night I put him in the recliner to drink his milk and before I knew it he was asleep! :) I OUT-SMARTED MY 2 YEAR OLD!!! This is huge for me!
OH Poor baby! YES!!!!!!!!! Makes me very happy!
Another victory for me was my camera! I got a new one because Shaffen realized that mine wasn't the greatest and it came in yesterday! WHAHOOOOOO!!!!! This picture is the first one I took with it, Conner looked at it and said Mama, IKKI's amera! Yes, it is the same one that Rachel and Nikki both have! They take great pictures! I love it!
Yet another victory for me was unfortunately my teacher for Anatomy got kidney stones and had to reschedule my test that was scheduled today. I was stressing about it. Although I feel bad for her I am quite excited for me! More days to study!
Today because I didn't have to take my test (I freak out and don't do anything cause I am scared) we went up to the mountain with our friends and had lunch! The weather was great and the kids had a blast! Shaffen had to work at 6pm so we raced home and he was able to check on at 5:55 pm! I was a good break today! I love just hanging out talking and not worrying about anything, well I take that back I did freak out when Conner got on Reagan's tricycle and took off down a hill (he couldn't reach the ground or the peddles) and almost launched off a drop off! He was saved by a tree that tipped over and he crashed. It was a bad crash but he had minimal damage! :) That was scary, I haven't seen Shaffen move that fast in years! Other than that it was great! Hopefully our week goes the same way!!!!

Our 4th of July!

So here is our week!!! On Thursday we left for Springerville for the 4th of July Celebration and my 10 year reunion! :( Yikes!! Anyways we were coming into Alpine and I thought we saw my dad in his dump truck, I looked at my phone and didn't have very good service so I decided not to call. Just then my phone rang and it was him. He had us pull over and took us to where he was working. And this is what he showed us! There were 14 huge Bull Elk laying under a tree. Shaffen decided to try to get closer and he an Covin got within 80-100 yards away before they even moved. This was a good excuse to get me a good camera because mine doesn't have a zoom. This is the best I could make it look without totally distorting it! Covin thought is was great until he noticed how big they were then he got nervous.
Later that evening when we got to my moms she told me that Richie was going to be going to cage fighting. I asked Richie if he had enough tickets for Shaffen to go. So that was the plan and I would stay home with the boys. Anyways he then told me that it was a benefit fight for one of my friends from high school's little boy who had a cancerous brain tumor. So I then wanted to go, luckily Richie had another ticket and I was able to go. It was way fun Nikki and Mandy, Richie, Shaffen and I got to go. I have never been to a cage fight before and I think I found a new addiction. Who would have thought that watching people fight and get beat up would be so fun! haha! I think there were about 8-10 fights and there were a few REALLY GOOD ones. Thank you Richie and Mandy for letting us tag along! :)

We let Covin ride his bike to the parade from my moms and he just had to sit on it to watch the parade. Then he figured out that he couldn't get any candy while sitting on it!
Later that night we got to go to Show Low to watch Richie race. The boys were very proud that "Richie drives a race car!" Covin was a little confused that Richie didn't get to race every time and he had to take turns.

Conner wanted nothing to do with wearing any type of ear protection. Oh well what do you do! :)
Covin loves these ear protectors he also gets to wear them when he goes shooting with his dad. And occasionally around the house when he doesn't want to hear what I a saying!
Covin had to go over to Richie's and show me all of his trophy's and then he got to sit in his car and pretend to drive it! He is very proud of all of Richie's trophy's "They are taller than me! I think he has like a thousand." Now Covin thinks that Shaffen needs a race car and he and Richie can go fast together!
It was a rough week for Conner he never took any naps and we went to bed late and he got up at the crack of dawn! He fell asleep probably 10 minutes out of town.

My High School reunion wasn't so bad. I was way freaked out about going, but it ended up kind of fun. I am glad it is over. Now I can get back to my regularly scheduled crazy life! Yeah, summer school is almost over, only 3 weeks left!!!!!!
