Pictures!

Christmas day Rachel and our families went out to take pictures. I think they turned out pretty good. But just like every time we do this there is a few pictures that I love and then there is one person who isn't looking! Oh well what do you do! Covin will be 6 years old next month. Conner is 2 1/2. Shaffen and I are GETTING OLD!!!!

Over all I really liked a lot of them!

I LOVE THIS ONE!!!
They look so sweet an innocent. I think I have the cutest boys in the world!

This is one that shows Conner's personality. He is such a mess. He has given Shaffen and I the best gift for Christmas......He is Potty Trained!!!!!!

Our Christmas!

Our week was CRAZY busy as usual. The beginning of the week we had Shaffen's work Christmas party. This year they had prizes and games. Shaffen and I won the Newly Wed game with a tie breaker question. The question was how much money does your husband have in his wallet right now? Easy enough for me he always has $0!!! And I was right he had ZERO! We hardly ever have cash for some reason. Our prize was 1 night stay in the new hotel here in a suite, 2 movie tickets and dinner for 2 up to $40 at the Manor House. Not a bad prize, they had quite a few like that. We had fun. Thank you Becki for coming to watch our boys!

This as Christmas Eve, the boys were being a little crazy as usual.
They got to open their Christmas PJ's that night. Covin was so excited about Santa coming. Conner still didn't like the idea!

Covin couldn't hardly wait for Conner to get up. We let him get into his stocking while we waited for Conner. This is his new Webkin "Spike." We finally let Covin wake Conner up, of course I took my video camera in there for his reaction that Santa did come into his house. He was not excited at all. He kept saying, "No he not!"

It didn't take long after waking up that he did figure out that Santa is so nice!

Conner made out like a bandit! He got a Diego train set. We have a lot of Thomas, so this is what Santa brought. This train is VERY kid friendly. Covin and Conner can set the whole thing up by themselves. He also got a truck, hummer with a trailer, game, webkin, a wonder pet, a tow truck from Covin, and some movies.
Covin finally got a Nintendo DS with 5 games! He wanted an X box also but I guess Santa wanted him to start with this one! He also got trucks, hummer with a trailer (my boys LOVE trucks with trailers), a cop car from Conner, movies, can't forget Jerky from grandpa Chris.

I got a Cricut Expression!!! With 2 extra cartridges and a tool kit for it! I am very excited about this!!!! Then my parents came down the day after Christmas and brought homemade candy galore! My favorite! Then my dad, Shaffen and Steven build me a work bench in my garage for me to make crafts! It looks great!!!

Shaffen apparently stayed up too long last night waiting for Santa! He took a little nap in the recliner until I made him get up and help me make a path in the living room! Shaffen got his hunting licence (combo), a new set of shooting sticks (he lost his other ones hunting), a picture, and the one he is most excited about has not arrived. I was really bummed we ordered him an over and under shot gun on the 9th, it still is not here! It will be here tomorrow! He already bought the shells he just needs the gun!!!

Rotten boys!!! :) Rachel and her family and Jarrod and his family came over for Christmas dinner. We ate steak and twice baked potatoes and salad. The kids were WIRED! Maybe because they had a lot of sugar that day and I am sure all of their new things made them extremely happy! It was funny, they had a lot of energy. And as for the adults we all just wanted to go to bed!!!!

And then Saturday we woke up to this! I have lived here for almost 10 years now and it has only snowed here I believe 4 times! It wasn't much but it was exciting!
My parents came and brought my grandma with them. She hung out with the kids watching movies with them. This night was a little much with the crazy boys. Covin is missing from the picture because it takes him FOREVER to eat.

I cannot believe how fast this month has flown by. Makes me sad.....I am not ready to go back to school yet. I feel so behind on everything, now we need to take all the Christmas stuff down. It feels like we just put it up! We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas like we did!!! :)

Woods Christmas party!

This last weekend we had a Woods family Christmas party. We had it at our house. We all pitched in and made it possible for 2 families to have Christmas. We were able to find 2 families with some of our friends help. Each family was in charge of a certain age child. All together we had 2 HUGE boxes of presents cookies and a bag for the moms. It was fun to do. The kids helped out as much as they could, we tried explaining to them what we were doing and why. Hopefully they get it. Covin's answer to giving another kid a present is that he would get more from Santa because he was being very nice!

Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Clint!

This is my Conner, he just looks like he is planning TROUBLE!

Rocko and Maverik writing letters to family.
Charly and Covin these 2 are about 2 weeks apart. They both have teeth falling out like crazy! They should be rich by now!
This is Maverik, I think he looks just like his dad. He has quite the personality and carries on a very interesting conversation for a 3 year old! :)
This is Chloe. This is one of her faces she makes often. She can give some of the dirtiest looks you have ever seen! She cracks me up!
Jaeden the oldest of all the kids! I asked him if he likes being the oldest and he told me he did and he can tell the kids what to do and they listen! Smart kid!

Here is one of the families boxes of things. The kids are ready to go!
This is baby Cole. Such a cute face!
Maverik......DONE!!! Don't you just wish you could sleep anywhere???!!!!

This is our last drop off. They put everything on the porch, Josh would wait for them to almost make it back to the truck and he would knock and run.
Josh and Chloe.....our day is done!

I was fun getting everyone together. I was so excited that everything worked out this year. Shaffen always gets a honey baked ham from work, so we ate ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls (from golden corral), and green beans! I was very relieved that the food turned out great. It always makes me nervous to feed other people. We ate it all so it must not have been so bad! We snacked all day, kids got to open presents, white elephant exchange (Good job to Micah on getting the best gift, you know we love ya!!!! ;) Homemade pumpkin pie, great job Becki. And best of all giving people a Christmas! I really enjoy doing things for people and I was so excited that everything worked out!!! Thank you guys for coming we had fun! Definitely better to give than to receive!

Covin's Christmas program!

Yesterday, Covin had a Christmas program at the auditorium at the College. They had 420 students, from K-3rd grade. It was VERY intertaining. The kids did a really good job. Each grade performed by themselves and they all had at least one song where the kids were dancing. There was a 50's dance in one grade. Breakdancers in another grade. I was shocked that they weren't scared. They did a really good job. This group of pictures is the Kindergarten class only. There are a lot of them! They sang a Snowflake song. I had never heard it before.

BUT it was this song that we all died laughing. They sang "I ain't gettin nothin for Christmas!" The music teacher said she had to convince them to sing the song even though they didn't agree with what it said. She had to tell them it was a pretend song and she knew that they were all getting presents because they are so good! Covin is directly in the middle in a green shirt. Anyways, Rachel recorded a little on my camera because we were laughing so hard. These kids got into it! They did hand motions and everything. They had scowled looks on their faces the whole time. I wish we would have thought to record it all because it was so cute! The video is a little jumpy.

This is all of the kids......

A LOT of ups and downs!

It has been a long crazy week with A LOT of ups and downs! So on the up side FINALS ARE OVER!!!!! That is VERY EXCITING!! I passed with a B in my Microbiology class. And in my Medical Dosing class I aced the final with a 99%!!!! That is very exciting, especially since I didn't feel that great when taking it! There were 100 dosage/math questions and I only missed ONE!

I didn't really focus as much as I would have liked to because I was a little overwhelmed and concerned about Shaffen and his job! Late Monday night the Sheriff of our county was shot in the chest while trying to help someone he thought was broke down. Luckily for him he was wearing his vest and was bruised from being shot. He is ok and DPS is investigating it. No one really knows exactly what happened. They have the article on www.eacourier.com. Anyways, it has been a HUGE eye opener for me and I am sure for all of the officers. This is something that we know can happen, it is just not that common. It scares the you know what out of me knowing that anything can happen at anytime. I trust Shaffen and know he is VERY SAFE and knows what he is doing. But it does cross my mind about the what ifs. This is one of the main reasons I am going back to school. I am scared for something to happen to him and me left trying to take care of us all. I know that being a Nurse can give me opportunities to make decent money for us to make it. NO I don't think he is going to die! But who knows about the crazy people who can make him unable to work or maybe make him paralyzed. I know that this is the right thing for me to do. And now this just makes it more urgent to me to get done! Bad times are here and are coming fast. Be prepared is all that keeps crossing my mind.......we pray everyday and night for Shaffen and the officers to be safe. All it takes is one crazy person to ruin someones life!

No SANTA!!! And Covin the smarty pants!

This is all about my boys! They crack me up! This week Conner has been HILARIOUS! His poor little brain is trying to figure things out. He is so confused. We have been talking and fighting with Covin about being nice and not talking back. In the mean time Santa has been thrown in as a scare tactic, "Santa won't come if you are being bad!" We decorated the house with Lights and up went the Christmas tree. Conner all of the sudden is SCARED that Santa is coming to his house to GET HIM! One night Covin had been awful so Shaffen was mad and telling him that if he didn't start being nice he would be on the naughty list. This went on for a good 20 minutes, Conner was listening to the whole thing. But in his little mind Santa is scary and "No Santa get ME! He was so sleepy and emotional that he cried and cried until he made himself throw up! Poor kid, how do you explain that to a 2 year old. We tell him Santa is nice! He tells us, "No he not, he scary!
The next day, Conner and I were the only ones home. He was carrying around a little gun. He showed it to me and said, "Mama, we no shoot people." I said nope we don't. He says, "Only animals??!!" I said yes ONLY animals! He says, "AND SANTA???" I couldn't help but die laughing! How sad he is that scared of Santa. So needless to say I probably won't be getting a picture of Conner with Santa this year!

This week Covin came home from school and said he got called to the office. I asked him why? He said because he is in 6 clubs! I didn't understand what that meant. He got a prize for being in 6 clubs at school. Every couple of weeks the teachers test them on a few things and if the master it they get called to the office and the principle gives them a certificate and a prize. But this was a better prize he got a little truck. So far he got certificates for

Knowing his phone number (9-12-08)
Knowing his address (9-12-08)
Can tie his shoes (11-7-08)
Is in the ABC club (11-7-08) has to be able to recognize all of the letters out of order lower and upper case.
Is in the letter sound club (11-7-08) Has to know all of the sounds of the letters.
Can count to 100 (12-4-08) I didn't know he could do this. So I tested him last night. They can't make a mistake or they won't get signed off. We counted all the way to 240! I was impressed!

It is Official!!!

So it is OFFICIAL!!!! I just got my letter in the mail, I was accepted into Nursing school! I am freaking out! It has taken me FOREVER and now I am nervous. I will be starting in January and will be going for 2 years. Hopefully these 2 years fly by, just as the others have. I think I am mostly freaking out because I have a list of 10+ books I have to buy (YIKES)!!!!! Not sure how we will find that money but I guess we have too. :) I am going to try applying for scholarships, but can't do that until March.
Just thought I would let everyone know.....I am excited and scared. It will be all worth it when it is OVER!!!!!
