Another Tooth GONE!

So here is my traumatized Covin! He has now lost 4 teeth! He gets all worked up whenever he knows his tooth needs to come it. It scares him to death. This tooth was so ready it was starting to twist sideways. The tooth created a HUGE gap between the other one, Rachel asked me when he had lost the one next to the one that needed pulled. She was shocked because he hadn't lost one on the top yet, I am telling you the gap was huge.....I just know that the one that comes in is going to look like a Chicklet! (the gum) We tied on a piece of dental floss and I had a hold of it and looked down and half of the tooth was already coming out. One small yank and out it came. He was so freaked out he didn't even know it was already out. He was shocked!
This is him only 15 minutes later. He thought he was pretty cool!
And these are the crazy boys! Rachel wanted 1 picture of my boys for something she was doing. 18 pictures later not one decent one! They are such messes!

My night owl!

So I need some help! This little boy is a mess, he looks so sweet and Innocent! What in the world is wrong with him! Here is my story! For over 1 month now he gets up at least 1-4 times a night screaming. So not sure what is wrong I go in and get him and make sure he is ok. He is also in the same room as Covin. Covin is now in school and needs to sleep. Anyways, I cannot figure out why he keeps waking up at night.

Here is what I have done:

  1. Tin foil over the windows and it is very dark
  2. ceiling fan on for coolness
  3. humidifier for a little noise
  4. full belly (he is not hungry)
  5. sippy cup of milk before bed (for the melatonin ;)
  6. Not sure if he hurts anywhere so I a few times gave him Motrin
  7. we say prayers every night together
  8. we do the exact same routine every night
  9. Let him just cry--he gets so worked up he makes himself throw up everything (he has made himself puke 3 times this month)
  10. a blue night light (just enough light to be able to see everything)

So I am so confused and I do not know what to do or try next! It has been awful lately and I tend to get very grouchy. I am going to school on Mondays and Wednesday for around 3 hours each day. On Tuesdays I work so I have to get up at 4:30am and be to work at 6am and I am gone until 6pm. All of the days excluding Tuesdays I am getting Covin up for school at 6:45am. By the time I have Covin up or somewhat ready Conner is up. Yesterday he woke up at 2am I finally got him back to sleep and he was up again at 3am. I needed to sleep so I just put him in with me. Shaffen got home around 4am and put him in his own bed. Yeah 6:30am he was awake and not going back to bed! This is how our nights are going! It is so frustrating! Also I will tell on myself I tried for 2 nights I gave him benadryl, yep it didn't work! This little boy is so grouchy and sad all day long because he is so tired. For the last 3 days he has fallen asleep taken small naps and will not go to bed that night. Sunday night he made himself puke around 11pm because we were trying to make him go to sleep! He is such a mess! So at this point I am up for suggestions! Please help me!!!!!!!

The Yellow BUS!!!!

Here we are waiting for the bus! It comes around 7:25 am. Conner decided this day to wake up when Covin got up at 6:45. Oh yes, grouchy ALL DAY!! When the bus came Covin jumped right on it and didn't look back! He was so excited, he has been waiting for this day since he was 2! That is how we potty trained him the "Yellow bus" and a scooter! Shaffen told him he couldn't ride it until he didn't pee his pants and he had to be 5. Yeah on his 5th birthday there was a lot of confusion!

Off he went! Conner started crying. "Ovin (Covin) take my bus, it my turn!" All day long "Ovin take my bus!" He kept asking "Where Ovin go?" I tell him school. "Onner (Conner) go to school?" I tell him not yet and then he cries! It is so sad. For a little guy he does understand a lot!
So all of around 2:25 got in our truck to wait for Covin at the end of our street (very convenient). The bus stopped and I could see Covin in the window stand up and look out. Another kid got off and the bus driver waited and then closed the door and started to drive off. Covin didn't get off! Shaffen jumped out and chased the bus until she stopped. Shaffen said my little boy didn't get off! She doesn't know where all the kids go, it is only the 2nd day! Anyways, Covin jumped off this time and had a very worried look on his face. Rachel's kids ride the same bus. After all the investigations were over, the boys were sitting by each other and there was another kid in the same seat that wouldn't move for Covin to get out. They also noticed that our truck wasn't at our house so I think Covin didn't think we were home. Although we were right in front of them! Carlee was yelling at the bus driver to stop but she didn't listen until Shaffen chased her! What a mess!
This week we also started Flag Football. The boys LOVE it!!! We were all concerned about the boys being wore out from school and didn't know how they would react. They all do so great! There is no whining, no complaining they are just so excited! I think it is because they (meaning Covin, Carsen (Nikki's Carsen) and Landen (Lance and Lisa's) were able to play on the same team! They love playing together anyways, they are so excited to see each other! They are fun to watch, well as much as we can watch we are all chasing the other boys around! So Covin being gone most of the day is weird! Conner is confused and it is pretty quiet around our house. I didn't cry when I left him, my eyes started watering but I don't like to cry in front of people. If he wouldn't have wanted to stay I think that would have been hard! He is loving it! He played with Rylan Norton and Reagan on the first day. The next day it sounded like he played with the boys and Reagan played with the girls. He is funny he told me that he saw Reagan and Callie at lunch and they were waving so big to me and yelling my name, So I waved back. Shaffen asked him if there were any cute girls in his class and he said yeah there are a few and I sit by 2 of them! Covin didn't even get embarrassed about it, it was hilarious! I am not sure how I was expecting him to act when he got home but I think the kid grew up a few years! He just sat down by me and started telling me about school. He ate all of his dinner (which is always a fight) helped me with Conner and didn't fight with him the whole evening! He seriously acted like he was 10! That is when I got really sad! They are getting so big. We have been talking about them going to school for years and it finally came.....TO FAST!!!!

Covin's first day at Kindergarten!

Today was Covin's first day at kindergarten! He did so good this morning he didn't even cry getting up so early! Although he did cry when I insisted on combing and hair spraying his hair. The water works began!!! He just wants to comb is straight down! But I think he looks so handsome today! I can't believe how big he is!

We were walking out of the door headed to school. It was packed with everything that was requested for his class. He had a hard time walking!
Smiling for a picture for his dad since he didn't get to go!
We went and picked him up today and he saw Shaffen and pretty much ran to him!
He says he had fun and he liked it. I was sold and knew it was ok when I asked so do you want to go back tomorrow????!!!! And he said, "YES!" He was excited to see us but was sad because he didn't get to ride the bus. Tomorrow will be the big bus day! Yikes!!!

Conner counting!

I thought this was hilarious! I was sitting at the computer he starting counting and went all the way to 14 without missing one! I got my camera out and it ended up like this! He turned 2 on May 31st. I think he is a little smart for his age, but that's just me! :) hehe!

A little late! The Phoenix Zoo!

So I am a little behind this one is a long one SORRY!! A few weeks ago we took the boys to Mesa and ended up at the Phoenix Zoo. It was Hot and miserable! It was horrible! Chloe and Becki came along for the ride and that baby was such a trooper!
Nothing spectacular just a few pictures!
There a a couple spider monkeys in this tree!
These Arangatanges were my favorite! For some reason when I was growing up I always wanted a monkey!
Don't you just want to hold it! This baby monkey was funny to watch. They are so much like little kids. This one was getting into and eating all sorts of crazy things!
It was so hot that we just let the kids get into the water shooting out of the ground! No they didn't have swim suits BUT it didn't matter they were so hot!

They played in the water for over 30 minutes. We ended up taking off there shirts and the little ones shorts and they were almost completely dry when they finished!
Then we took them on the train ride around the rest of the Zoo!
We bought Soda's I think over all it cost us around $20! It was absolutely worth it!
My wet sweaty boys!
Covin has some issues with Snakes. He was a little scared even though it was behind glass, he kept making sure it stayed there!

When we got home being the nice dad Shaffen is he let them play with playdoh! Umm not something I enjoy because it ends up everywhere! And these are the SNAKES they made!

Me and my crazy boys!
On Saturday we drove to Tucson to see our nephew Jaeden! Josh (Shaffen's brother) has been oversees for a few months and the boys wanted to see him!
We took them to lunch and to ride go carts. Covin was so excited that he was big enough! They got to play games also. They were funny to watch!

Conner wanted to play basketball, he was a little short so Shaffen improvised!
Conner looks so big....He was actually driving Jaeden crazy! Conner just wants to be big like the boys!
Then we went to the Mall and got them Ice cream! Conner's favorite!

We stayed at Jaeden's house for a little while and let the boys play. Covin played the wii and PlayStation. I also played against Jaeden on Guitar Hero. I must say I totally impressed myself! That was my 2nd time, I am horrible at it! Jaeden gave me a few pointers and I kept up with him for a little while! I went from I think only hitting 12% of the notes to now a whopping 58%! That is a huge improvement! And I had fun!
We had fun hanging out! Thanks Heather for letting us take him for a while! We all had fun!
Before we left town we went by and saw Grandma Bonnie and Ampa Clint!

Our 8th Wedding Anniversary!

8 years ago today Shaffen and I were married in the Mesa Temple!!! I got to thinking about all that we have accomplished over the years and here is what I came up with!
A month before we were married we purchased our first house! It was about 1200 square feet and had the coolest Olive green matching appliances and blue carpet! It was hot. About a year later we sold it so we could move the Peoria, but it didn't work out! Thatcher it is!
So during first few years we were able to travel a lot. No cares in the world. This is from our trip to Vegas. Good times! I know I look good! (It is actually only our faces!)

These are our skinnier versions, that we of course miss! I think over the years between the two of us we have gained 80 pounds combined! Yikes! But we have legitimate excuses, We do not eat healthy, we don't exercise and that is why we have gained weight! hehe! OOH so CUTE!
One of our first HUGE accomplishes was the birth of Covin! That was such a life changing event! That was a proud moment for the both of us! (digital camera's, hmmm we were poor!)
Then Conner kid #2, came along and changed everything AGAIN! We couldn't imagine our lives without these 2 boys! They are such fun and crazy BOYS! They have the coolest personalities I could have never imagined how great it is to be parents!

So to sum it all up over the last 8 years we have had the following:
The same JOBS!!!!
2 houses
2 kids
2 Apartments
7 Couches
5 TV's
1 four wheeler (sold it, too busy no time to play)
1 dog (we gave it away, too much work)
6 pick-up trucks (too big, too small, gas HOGS, Need one big enough to pull trailer)
5 cars (falling apart, had kid need bigger vehicle, CHEAP ON GAS)
2 expeditions (gas HOGS)
1 Tahoe (need truck to pull trailer)
1 Ranger (want extra cash for trailer)
1 trailer to pull the Ranger (need cash for trailer)
1 camp trailer (self explanatory)
3 plants (they all died)
4 gold fish (they all died within a week)
I had braces for 14 months
2 C-sections
2 deer
1 javalina
a few mice EEEWWW!
A full, queen and now a KING sized bed!
2 bedroom sets
1 hundred billion LAUGHS!
LOTS AND LOTS OF BILLS!!! When will we ever learn!
So to sum it all up, we have had many ups and downs, lost A LOT of money and gained A LOT of weight. I would not change a thing or wished that things would have gone a different direction. I met the man of my dreams and love him more today than I did the day we were married! He is such a honest, hard working dad and husband. I love that he is always trying to better himself and our future! He is always looking into the future to make sure we will be set! Everything he does is to better our family and make the best memories for our kids! He is the best dad! I couldn't have picked a better husband, not many help as much as he does! Laundry, cooking, cleaning and taking care of the kids he does it all!!!! I am so blessed to have such a great husband and best friend! I think I need to remember this more often than once a year!!! :) I am looking forward to another year full of laughs and hopefully not another vehicle!
