Conner cracks me up!

Conner has been hilarious lately and I don't want to forget the things he says to me, so I wanted to write them down.

I was play fighting with Conner and he climbed on my lap. I was shaking him all around and ended up turning him around and put his hands behind his back. He looked at me and said, "I am not under arrest...I am not a bad guy that drinks drugs!!!"

I have been letting him help me cook some things lately. He tells me he is a Chef. So he has helped me make brownies, macaroni and cheese, and sandwiches. Anyways, this one day I asked Shaffen what he wanted for lunch? Conner immediately jumps up and says, "Dad I will make you lunch I am a Chef." Shaffen follows Conner into the kitchen and says, "Ok Chef Conner what can you make me?" Conner says, "Hmmm, well I can make you a sandwich, macaroni and cheese, or brownies that's all!"

I was trying to get Conner to eat his vegetables (it is a cry fest every time). He asks me "Why do I have to eat vegetables?" I said,"You have been sick a lot and vegetables make you get healthy." So Conner eats some cucumber, carrots, lettuce, and bell peppers...without any fighting, I was amazed. He then proceeds to go into the living room to watch TV. He starts coughing. He yells into the kitchen, "Ummm, mom the vegetables didn't work!"

Everyday he cracks me up. If someone gets hurt he tells us, "I am a doctor and I can fix you!" "Huh mom??!!!"

He has big plans and big dreams for T-ball and soccer. He tells us, "First I will play baseball, then I will play soccer, right mom??" "I will tackle the kids in baseball, huh mom??" Me and Shaffen, "You don't tackle kids in baseball Conner." Conner, "Oh ya, that's right!" with a smirk on his face.
So we are a little nervous for him to play! ;)
He is a crack up! Everyday, something new!

Update!

So I am pretty behind, as usual! We had a fun Valentines day. The boys loved it. Not sure what they were expecting but they tried to make it extra special for their dad!

I let them decorate the kitchen. They cut out hearts and put them everywhere. Shaffen was working 6pm to 4 am.

I helped them decorate their own card. They were very excited to give it to him. They crack me up!

Covin made his own banner....love the spelling...at least he tries right??!!! :)

We dipped strawberries!!! mmmm....my favorite! Instead of a special dinner we make a really good lunch after church. We ate steak, baked potatoes, and salad. I took out the champagne glasses and made kool aid. The boys thought they were so big! They were really excited that I let them drink from glass cups (they were really plastic but they don't know that!). And I never realized that I don't make kool aid cause they thought that was the BEST drink EVER!! HAHA I guess it's just the little things that matter!

And here is my ROTTEN Conner!!! Boy has this kid changed over the last few weeks! He is such a mess now. He thinks he is soooo big. He tries to cook on his own and clean up things. I usually let him help me and now I have created a monster. He is all about recycling (too much TV) not wasting electricity, not wasting water...man what shows am I letting him watching. He speaks some Chinese thank you Kylan. He speaks some Spanish thank you Dora. And as far as his English he speaks really well. He understands a lot of things that he shouldn't yet. He cracks me up. He acts like he is 10!!! Him and Covin play really well together. They do fight and then they are best friends again in 5 minutes. Conner can handle his own with Covin. If Covin hits him, Conner takes him out!!! And then the crying begins, they both think the other one should get into trouble, I just let them handle it on their own...if it is not too bad. Conner is super excited about playing T-ball this year. He barely makes the cut off by 1 day. Shaffen has been practicing with the boys and Conner is pretty good. He hits the ball right off of the Tee and drops his bat and runs. The only thing that worries me is he keeps talking about tackling the kids. I try to tell him that this is baseball not football. Who knows whats going to happen. :) I am sure it will be worth watching though!!!

And Covin he is being a pretty good kid lately. His teacher stamps his hand everyday so that I know he did all of his work. He is a daydreamer! She says he is soo smart but he is lazy. So during his class she has everything on the board that they need to complete for the day. There are 15 things posted everyday. He ONLY has to complete 5, the rest are for fun. So I talked to him one night and asked him why he couldn't do the whole board, he told me that only 4 kids in his class finish it. So I asked him again why he couldn't do it. So I challenged him to try to finish the board the next day. He came home all excited and told us he did the whole board. That was 3 weeks ago and he has completed the entire board everyday since then. He was so hard to figure out. This kid thrives on praise and us being proud of him. It is amazing to me that he can accomplish so much as long as we encourage him and care about his progress. Hopefully he will be like that FOREVER!!! Probably not but wishful thinking right???!!

Today is officially my first day of Spring Break!!!! Soooo excited for this much needed and anticipated break! I need to not study and spend time with my kids/husband. I am sure they feel neglected most of the time. I am doing pretty good this semester and am waiting for my grade to be posted on a test I just took. We are taking the boys to Mesa this weekend. Shaffen and I have to work all of Spring Break, he works Tues-Friday and I work Monday and Saturday. Oh well, what do you do! We are just excited to not have to wake up early for 1 week!!!!
