Shaffen had this conversation with Conner the other day. It made me think a lot!
The other day Conner was getting dressed and he asked me, "Where does Heavenly Father and Jesus live?" I told him they live in Heaven. He then asked where Santa lives? I told him at the North Pole. He said where is the North pole. I told him it was at the top of the earth. He then asked me where Heaven was. I told him it was way up in the sky by the stars. He said, "Well I want to go to Heaven to see Heavenly Father and Jesus, the real ones." I told him that I did not want him to go to Heaven yet.
He said very excitedly, "You can come with me!" I asked him how we would get there. He replied that we could buy a rocket and he would drive me up to see Heavenly Father and Jesus. The real Heavenly Father and Jesus. I told him that I did not have enough money to buy a rocket, and he said, "Then I will go to work and get lots of money so we can get a rocket to see Heavenly Father and Jesus. The real ones, not the picture."
Since then he has talked about it with multiple people and is offering to take them along too. I told him that I wasn't ready to go to Heaven yet. He is confused and doesn't understand why I don't want to go with him and I don't want him to go. I told him that I could show him pictures of them, he wouldn't have it he wants to see them, "the real ones!"
Conner has quite the brain. He thinks about everything. We have been reading the Book of Mormon to the boys every night. Conner has a ton of questions and always asks when Heavenly Father is going to come back to Earth. He gets so excited when he talks about it and wants to see "Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ" soon. I don't know how to explain things to him. He has such a sweet spirit and is so curious. We love this little boy a ton and I am so happy he is absorbing so much information!!!!

Summer is over...BACK to school!
We have had quite the busy summer. Now it is time to get back into a routine and get back to school! Sad day! Here are my most handsomest boys ever! Covin is 7 years old and is now in 2nd grade. He is very excited about being in 2nd grade but keeps telling me he thinks it is going to be hard! He is in Mrs. Layton's class and does not have any friends in his class. But I know he will be fine! Conner and I took Covin to school. Covin pretty much didn't need any help and was like, "See ya!" Although I am glad he is independent it still makes me sad! At his wellness exam he was 62 pounds and now I can't find the paper that I had everything written down on. But he was in the 95% in height and weight. He is starting Flag Football again this year. So far he is doing great and is REALLY excited about it.
Conner is 44 pounds and 44 inches tall. He is also 95% in both areas. Hopefully they will be tall!!! :) Conner just started preschool again. He is in Mrs. Norton's preschool (the same one Covin was in before) we really love her!!!! He is able to be in this class with his BFF Lathen Shurtz. They crack me up. Conner is very sad right now because he is not 5. That means he can't go to Kindergarten yet (everyone else is in school) and he can't play football. There has been a lot of crying lately! Poor kid! He cried this morning because he thought he was going to school again. Shaffen told the boys last night that they needed to go to sleep because it was a school night. Conner took it to heart and thought he was going to. I feel so sad for him. He told me that he just needs to go to school to get smart! I said I can teach you...he told me that he wanted his teacher to teach him.
Here are the boys after playing in the rain....not sure how many times I let them...oh well they had a blast!
We took the kids up to the top to go fishing. Carsen was casting his line and there was a fish swimming really close to the bank. So I put on Shaffen's gloves and caught it with my hand. Sad to say but that was the only fish we caught!
Also a few weeks ago me and the boys went to Mesa to hand out with Becki and Chloe. We took the kids to a Natural history museum. It was really cool. The kids really liked it. Here is Chloe in the jail cell.
Here is the dinosaur from the museum. This place was full of dinosaur bones that were found in Arizona. They had tons of things to look at a read about. It made it more fascinating because it was all from around here!
We finished up baseball.
I forgot to steal other photos from Rachel and Nikki, so this is all I have!
