Dad can you buy me a Rocket?

Shaffen had this conversation with Conner the other day. It made me think a lot!

The other day Conner was getting dressed and he asked me, "Where does Heavenly Father and Jesus live?" I told him they live in Heaven. He then asked where Santa lives? I told him at the North Pole. He said where is the North pole. I told him it was at the top of the earth. He then asked me where Heaven was. I told him it was way up in the sky by the stars. He said, "Well I want to go to Heaven to see Heavenly Father and Jesus, the real ones." I told him that I did not want him to go to Heaven yet.

He said very excitedly, "You can come with me!" I asked him how we would get there. He replied that we could buy a rocket and he would drive me up to see Heavenly Father and Jesus. The real Heavenly Father and Jesus. I told him that I did not have enough money to buy a rocket, and he said, "Then I will go to work and get lots of money so we can get a rocket to see Heavenly Father and Jesus. The real ones, not the picture."

Since then he has talked about it with multiple people and is offering to take them along too. I told him that I wasn't ready to go to Heaven yet. He is confused and doesn't understand why I don't want to go with him and I don't want him to go. I told him that I could show him pictures of them, he wouldn't have it he wants to see them, "the real ones!"

Conner has quite the brain. He thinks about everything. We have been reading the Book of Mormon to the boys every night. Conner has a ton of questions and always asks when Heavenly Father is going to come back to Earth. He gets so excited when he talks about it and wants to see "Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ" soon. I don't know how to explain things to him. He has such a sweet spirit and is so curious. We love this little boy a ton and I am so happy he is absorbing so much information!!!!

Summer is over...BACK to school!

We have had quite the busy summer. Now it is time to get back into a routine and get back to school! Sad day!

Here are my most handsomest boys ever! Covin is 7 years old and is now in 2nd grade. He is very excited about being in 2nd grade but keeps telling me he thinks it is going to be hard! He is in Mrs. Layton's class and does not have any friends in his class. But I know he will be fine! Conner and I took Covin to school. Covin pretty much didn't need any help and was like, "See ya!" Although I am glad he is independent it still makes me sad! At his wellness exam he was 62 pounds and now I can't find the paper that I had everything written down on. But he was in the 95% in height and weight. He is starting Flag Football again this year. So far he is doing great and is REALLY excited about it.
Conner is 44 pounds and 44 inches tall. He is also 95% in both areas. Hopefully they will be tall!!! :) Conner just started preschool again. He is in Mrs. Norton's preschool (the same one Covin was in before) we really love her!!!! He is able to be in this class with his BFF Lathen Shurtz. They crack me up. Conner is very sad right now because he is not 5. That means he can't go to Kindergarten yet (everyone else is in school) and he can't play football. There has been a lot of crying lately! Poor kid! He cried this morning because he thought he was going to school again. Shaffen told the boys last night that they needed to go to sleep because it was a school night. Conner took it to heart and thought he was going to. I feel so sad for him. He told me that he just needs to go to school to get smart! I said I can teach you...he told me that he wanted his teacher to teach him.

Here is me and Conner before I took him to school....he was sooo excited!

Conner and Lathen. Mrs. Norton said Conner looks exactly like Covin. She even called him Covin. Conner started laughing....she told him if she did it again that he could call her Mr. Norton...he thought that was hilarious!

My little man!

And his Handy Manny backpack!

Here are the boys after playing in the rain....not sure how many times I let them...oh well they had a blast!
A few weeks ago we went camping up on Mt. Graham with Jarrod and Nikki. It rained like crazy. I didn't get any pictures of our camp or the boys because my camera was in the truck and it was pouring. We ate good food and had smores every night! I think the kids had a blast.

We took the kids up to the top to go fishing. Carsen was casting his line and there was a fish swimming really close to the bank. So I put on Shaffen's gloves and caught it with my hand. Sad to say but that was the only fish we caught!

I think the boys were impressed with me catching it with my hand!
My cute boys!

I mean my cute girls! Here is Covina and Connie...according to Jarrod anyways!!!

The boys with the fish. Jaten and Dexen were not to sure about that fish. Dex ran away. The boys were so sad when they found out that a bird swooped into the back of the truck and flew off with the fish...now they couldn't eat it! :) LOL!

Also a few weeks ago me and the boys went to Mesa to hand out with Becki and Chloe. We took the kids to a Natural history museum. It was really cool. The kids really liked it. Here is Chloe in the jail cell.

Covin, Chloe, and Conner.

They had a Western part in the museum and they kids could go behind a TV and be in the movie. They thought they were pretty awesome!

We also drove to Tucson to see Shaffen's mom off. She moved to Las Vegas.

While staying with Becki we took the kids to a place called Bounce U! They got themselves all sweaty.
Conner ready to BOX!!!

Covin and Brett racing down the slide.

Me and the kids jumping around! Wow was it hot in there!

Here is the dinosaur from the museum. This place was full of dinosaur bones that were found in Arizona. They had tons of things to look at a read about. It made it more fascinating because it was all from around here!

Chloe, Conner, and Covin.
Covin in Jail...he was actually nervous. He did not want me to shut the door! LOL!

We finished up baseball.

Jackson and Brock (Misty and Ryan Conrad's boys), Covin, Carsen (Nikki and Jarrod's), and Rylan (Beni and Brad Norton's boy). These boys did awesome. They are now all on the same Football team too!
Here are the little brothers who can't wait to grow up! Jaten (Jarrod and Nik's), Conner, Dex (Jarrod and Nik's) and Cody (Brad and Beni's boy).
Me and the boys drove up to Springerville for the 4th of July. We barely made it. I did not realize that there would be a parade going on in Alpine so we had to wait for that parade to start so I could go through town. We pulled into Springerville right when the police were making me pull off the road. I took the back roads and made it for the first float!

I forgot to steal other photos from Rachel and Nikki, so this is all I have!
My cousin Leslie has this beautiful baby girl that we ALL LOVED!!! Conner LOVED her! Baby Sophia!
Last week Shaffen and I celebrated our 10 wedding anniversary! It is crazy to say that! It doesn't feel like it has been that long! My mom and dad took our boys to RV for 5 days. Shaffen and I went to Scottsdale and had a blast. We went to 3 movies, shopping, got a pedicure, did a session at the temple, slept in, and go to eat a ton of good food! I can't believe it has been that long. Next year we will be able to do something great. This year I am feeling the money crunch. We have a lot of things coming up to pay for. I was very grateful for the time I got to spend with my husband. We don't get to be alone hardly ever. It was good to get to talk and get on the same page for the future! I REALLY am still soo in LOVE with him! I miss hanging out with him with no stress involved! He was doing everything in his power to make me happy! I love how much he loves me and can't wait to continue making memories with him!
The boys had a blast hanging out with Mandy and Richie's kids. They keep talking about how much fun they had. Conner came home with mosquito bites (they really liked him). I ended up having to put anti-itch cream all over him cause they were so bad. I counted 35. Poor kid! Conner had fun but was ready to come home! We missed our boys like crazy! Thank you everyone for taking such good care of my kids! WE REALLY appreciate it!
School starts for me in a week and a half. I am excited but nervous. I just want to get this over with but don't want the stress and craziness involved! I will be done in December!!!!!! WAAAHOOOO!!!!!
