My redneck family!!!

These are my little Joe Dirts! This wig was hilarious....Conner wasn't feeling it.

Seriously doesn't this crack you up????!?!?!??!?!?!!!
And now my HOTT HUSBAND! This is our costumes for the Halloween party that we had for the kids. But I thought we deserved our own entry.
And here we are posing for the camera you know that it does add at least 500 pound to you! I had to make sure I had the shelf rear end.
Everyone had a really good laugh out of it and that is what made it worth it. We were not recognized by some friends at first BUT with our priceless smiles we won them over! We had a lot of fun and a lot of pictures taken. These pictures are on a few blogs and are well known at my work (Slightly embarrassing). I am glad everyone had fun. After I had put on my blue eye shadow, added a mole and my red lipstick, Conner looked at me and said, "Daddy Mama scarwy!" I died laughing. When we got home and I washed my face he looked at me and said, "Oh that's better!" Poor kid!!! :)
So in order to make myself feel a little bit better I decided to take a normal picture of me where I am looking a little bit better! Conner decided to be shy this day! But I didn't want anyone to forget that I really don't look like that! HEHEHE!!

Weekend in Springerville!

Last weekend we went to Springerville for my Grandpa's funeral. It turned out to be a family reunion. We haven't seen a lot of our family for a long time. It was fun catching up. We all got together at my uncle Jerry's house for a birthday party. My uncle Jerry was trying to entertain Conner showing him all his animals on his walls. He was quite fascinated!
Of course can't not take a picture of this BABY!!!! He is such a mess but so stinkin cute!

Shaffen and Conner after a long busy day!

You can't visit Richie without dirt bikes involved. And yet again Conner would have nothing to do with it!
Me and my family with Grandma Glenna. She is 78 years old and she looks great. She has never colored her hair and has way less gray hair than me. Why couldn't I get those genes!!!!

The entire Davis family. Not to bad!

The Davis cousins. They did this pose themselves!

Papa Richard and Conner!
It was a good weekend with our family. I don't see them all very often so I tend to forget how much I DO LIKE THEM! We got to stay at my moms were my Grandma and Aunt Sherri were staying. I REALLY enjoyed talking with them and laughing.

Happy Birthday Jaeden!

This past weekend was very busy for us. Saturday we went to Tucson for a Birthday party and Baptism for Jaeden (Josh's little boy). He had his party at Skate World it was very interesting to watch . Covin has never skated before. Josh was so nice to try to help him learn. At one point Covin's feet were shuffling and Josh tried to avoid Covin's fingers after he had fallen and they both ended up on the ground. Sorry Josh for the hurt arm! :)

Shaffen, Conner, Covin, Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Clint! After the baptism we (most of us) headed out for pizza. The kids had a blast.

Conner with his new best friend George the monkey. We bought it for him at Kohls and he has not let it go since then. He has never been like this with anything before, he is funny to watch.
This is the whole entire Woods family. I am not sure if we have ever taken a picture with all of us in it. It didn't turn out to bad! :)

These are the Woods' cousins it is the best we could do! What can I say!!!

Covin and Conner meeting their new cousin Cole for the first time. Conner LOVES babies!

He is not in anymore pain......

So I got a phone call last night around 11:00pm. We had taken our cordless phone in our room for some reason....we NEVER do. I can't even remember one time. My sister Rachel called me and told me that my grandpa had passed away around 10:15 pm. I am so sad about it. I know that he is old and has lived a long life, but it still breaks my heart. This is the last picture I have with him and I had just had Conner and totally debated on going to our family reunion. Conner was only 2 months old (yes he is huge)!
This is the only grandpa I have ever known. My grandma had been married twice before. Her first husband the father of all 10 kids passed away when my mom was 18 years old. That was very hard for them all and I can't imagine how my grandma survived. She is such a strong wonderful woman. She remarried later on and her husband had a stroke and later passed away. Then she met Grandpa Charlie. She married him in April 1981. I was born in 1980 so he is the only one I have ever known. He always had a voiceterous opinion almost about everything! There are a lot of people that have a hard time with him. I am probably just as stubborn and could fight right back with him, even at a young age. I am not sure how old I was but he ALWAYS told the story of me calling him a Nerd when I was really little. And that stuck forever and ever. That was our thing.
Before he got really sick they lived in Elephant Butte, New Mexico. They would travel through Thatcher while making trips to Mesa. They seemed to always come when there was something wrong with me. You know the rare occasions when I get Kidney stones! Yes, I believe it was 1 or 2 visits when I had them. He would just sit there and tell me how sorry he was that I was in pain. Then he would tell everyone about it. They used to be able to come through 2-3 times a year. It was always fun to just have one on one with them.
My grandma has been taking care of him for years and years. Even before he got really sick she was at his beck and call. He was VERY spoiled by her. She has been a good wife to him. I am very sad for her because I am not sure that she will know how to just take care of herself. He is in a better place and not in anymore pain. That is very comforting to me.
It is just like anything that happens you wish you would have done more and been able to see them more. I am very glad that I took the time last week to go and see him. I took my camera but that is not how I wanted to remember him, I did not take any pictures. Watching my grandma with him made me so sad. I know this is really hard on her, I just wish I could take it all away for her.
A few weeks ago Covin went to Springerville with Nikki to visit and go to the races. My grandparents have been living with my parents for a few weeks now. Covin was able to visit with them a little bit. They must have made an impression on him because he talked about them a lot. He was really sad and crying that he couldn't go into the hospital to see him when I went. And almost everyday since he has asked me if my grandpa was still sick and in the hospital. I would tell him yes and he would get sad and keep asking me why. I would just tell him that he is still very sick. I didn't tell him before school because I think he will cry. He has such a soft heart.
Sorry this is so all over the place but it is mostly for me. I loved my grandpa very much. He might have been a Nerd BUT he was my NERD!

Our Week!

So we have had quite the busy week! But we had a lot of fun. Saturday after Covin's football game we met a few of our friends up on Mt. Graham and went camping over night! We pulled our trailer up and that was the fastest unload we have EVER done. They had some of their family members up there, I don't think Shaffen and I did anything but watch! :) These boys had so much fun they love being outside. The bigger boy in the picture is who Covin plays with everyday at school. His dad is a police officer and works with Shaffen and our kids are friends. They also play with Reagan at school (her dad is also a cop and our friend for a long time). It is crazy how they stick together.

Anyways, I found these boys in a culvert. They were daring each other to go through it. That never happened, little chickens.
My Conner freezing up there. It had rained the night before and was way cloudy this day. We are not used to this weather. Luckily I had actually prepared for it!
Yelling at each other through the culvert.
Conner hanging out by a tree!
They were using this as a balance beam. I was quite impressed they did so well.

They wanted a picture by the GREEN grass. Such posers! Who would have thought!
Covin and Rylan decided to haul some wood to the camp fire. LAZY boys couldn't just carry it!
It was quite entertaining! They were hilarious. They wouldn't go to far after they realized we were camping there because they were bear hunting. Kind of freaked Covin out!
He is the happiest and best little boys with a Chocolate Donut, he calls it a D-NUT.
The boys were trying to make their lunches. Roasting hot dogs. Covin decided the one that was black and had touched the ground was going to be Conner's. What a nice brother!
We had brought our Bebe gun for the boys, well we thought. I think the dads had more fun. Conner loves to shoot and so does Covin.
Every time they would shoot they had to go see where it hit. They thought it was great.
Covin will love this picture when he is bigger. He wanted to shoot Lucy's (another cop Shaffen works with that was also camping) PINK 22. It was funny.
Later that week we had the normal busy week with school and work. I got a phone call from my mom telling me my grandpa was really sick and they had transferred him to Desert Good Sam in Phoenix. My grandma was there my dad had taken her down and hauled her truck, but she is to scared to drive there. So she would wait all day until someone could come and get her. I decided to go down on Tuesday. We pulled Covin out of school and Shaffen was able to take off of work and take me. It was so awful I hadn't seen him like that in a lot of years. He is on dialysis and had an infected shunt. He had fallen in the shower and hurt his shoulder too. It ended up being a blood clots in his arm, they started him on blood thinners. Well while he has been there he is just getting sicker and sicker. My poor grandma would just break down and cry the whole day. We took her to lunch and then Shaffen took the boys to Cabelas while I stayed with her in the hospital. I had to leave that night because we had school and work the next day, it was really hard to leave her there. My mom called today and told me his white count is going up and they don't know where the secondary infection is. The blood thinners are making him bleed out through the infected shunt and he had to get a blood transfusion last night. I am not sure what the outcome will be. I am so sad for my grandma!

This week here was fair week. Covin's football team was in the parade. They piled these little boys in this truck and my friend Lisa and I rode on the tailgate to make sure they didn't jump or fall out! They were hilarious they threw out almost 4 bags of candy about a quarter of the way through. :) They kept chanting 1-2-3 GIANTS!!! Over and Over it was so funny.

Shaffen and Conner waiting for us at the end. It took forever and we were so sunburned. After the parade off to the fair and carnival we went. I have never seen that many people at the carnival ever at one time. It was hot and we had to wait a long time in lines. The kids had a blast. I left early because I had to work that night. Came home and showered because I smelled like a sweaty Carney! I left for work at 6pm. It was so slow that night they were trying to send people home early. I did come home around 3 am. Woke up at 7:15 and got ready to go to Morenci for Covin's Last football game.

This was the final score 6 to 13 the Giants won! The picture is a little out of order but I can't fix it. Anyways, this was the best game we have watched EVER! They used the score board (which never happened) and had an announcer. It was funny how much more these kids got into the game. They were so excited. The guy was very animated.
This is Landen, Covin and Carsen. Numbers 4-5-6. They kept sitting like that. :)
This is when they realized, Yes they had won! They were so happy. They ended up with 2 Wins, 2 Loses and 2 tie wins. After the game their coach gave them metals with certificates. That was funny the boys were so excited.

This is Covin realizing that this is indeed just like getting a trophy (his favorite thing to receive)!
Carsen, Covin and Landen!
After the game we went and ate lunch and decided to go visit Shaffen's sister in Duncan, where she just moved too. That was fun it is so relaxing there! I had never been there before. They live on a small farm and Brett's family has a pumpkin patch. They ship the pumpkins to Gilbert to some stores there. We walked out and Covin was helping them put them in the bins. Later we took a Ranger ride around the rest of the farm and got to pet a Chicken, see geese (see them because the run away), and feed a pig. Covin then got to take Brett on a 4-wheeler ride. He was so excited, imagine that!
Conner was so content with just sitting on this horse (which he kept calling a puppy, I guess I need to teach him his animals! hehe).Little Chloe, the reason we went to Duncan! Like I have said before my boys LOVE this little girl. Everyday they ask where is Chloe??? After we played for a while they took us to a fresh produce stand where we bought a seedless watermelon, 4 fresh tomatoes and 8 green chile's for $5!!!! We came home and roasted the chile's on the grill, piled them and cook them for dinner! Very good!
And here is Covin! Lost tooth #6! His other front one, which I hope comes in soon! There are not anymore loose ones, he is very excited about that. He likes things from the tooth fairy but doesn't like getting his teeth pulled! I don't blame him!
It has been a FUN and busy week as usual! But I wouldn't know how to do it any other way! :)

Busy, busy, busy

It has been a while and quite crazy I might add! These last few weeks have been busy. Shaffen's brother Josh finally got to come home he was gone a little over 6 months. The weekend he was back he brought Jaeden down for a visit. The boys were pretty funny. They made a fort in the playroom, I didn't even think about taking a picture, but they did a really good job. Then they decided that they should catch bugs. They had a few grasshoppers that ended up dieing the next day. That night I had to take Conner to the ER for Croup AGAIN! This kid has had it 5 times this year. It is awful. Later that week he never really got over it so we were in the clinic again and now he is doing better. Once we got things worked out he slept all night for 4 days in a row! :) He has NEVER DONE THAT!!!!!

Other than that we have been able to hang out with Becki and Chloe a lot. They are moving to Duncan and pass through here while they are hauling their things. My boys LOVE that little girl!!! It is so funny to watch them all together. She has quite the personality. We are so excited that they will be closer to us.

I have been really stressed out lately with school and shuffling Conner around. I hate having everyone watch him for me, I feel so guilty. But Nikki and Rachel have been very nice about it. Thank you guys! :) Our schedules this month have changed a lot. Shaffen is now working Monday through Thursday 7am to 5pm. I will be working Friday night shifts. When we made out my schedule Shaffen was supposed to be Monday through Friday. AFTER my schedule was done we found out that it changed. So I will be doing night shifts, it has been a while but I really liked it before when I did it. Hopefully it will be good for a change. Although, Saturdays are pretty crazy around here and I might be a LITTLE grouchy! Sorry in advance! :)

This week was the deadline for the Nursing Application, it was due on October 1st. I had all of my papers together for weeks now the only thing missing was a letter from my boss. If you have a job and want credit towards the program they asked for a letter from your boss stating job duties and just a few things about you. Anyways, I had asked her about it over 10 days before it was due and never heard back. On Tuesday before it was due I saw her and asked her about it and she told me she didn't have time to do it. And that she possibly could have it for me tomorrow (Oct. 1st). So I asked her if it would be ok for me to have someone else do it. I was pretty stressed out. After work I finished it off and was able to turn it in at 11am October 1st. There are a lot of people applying and they are only taking 30 people. I am not ever very confident on these sort of things. I just hope that everything works out! I will let you all know if I do get in!

Last night Carsen called my cell phone and said they were riding his 4-wheeler and wanted us to come and ride with him. I told him we would come in 15 minutes when Shaffen got home. He was way later than that. So about 5:30 he headed out the door with the boys. I stayed cause my visiting teachers were coming over. At 6 I went over to their house. It looked like quite the party. Rachel, Steven and their kids were there also. I was surprised at how well Covin did. He is a little to brave for me. They had a lot of fun. They rode until it got to dark.

Yeah guess what Covin wants Santa Clause to bring........
I can't help but take this baby's picture. He is so stinking cute.....there is a mosquito on his forehead!
Conner would not get on this thing with Shaffen. So when I got there I made him ride with me. He LOVED it. He was telling me "Mama, it not scary!" He kept telling me WEEEEE. And told me to run over the bumps. He is a funny little boy!

This cracked me up, Carsen giving Covin a ride!
I think they just all wanted to keep riding any way they could! :) Dallin and Covin.
These little boys trying to stay out of the way of the crazy drivers! They just played in the back of the truck. I couldn't ever get a picture with them all together. They are just too busy! Thanks for letting us come over and play, the kids had a blast!
This is going to be a crazy month for everyone! All I want is it too slow down a bit! :)
