Happy Birthday to Papa!

This last weekend the boys and I went to Springerville for my dad's 55th birthday. Covin is very concerned about his Papa getting so old. We love my dad very much. Here are a few pictures I found really quick before I have to shower for school!

My brothers, sister, and dad....who knows why we would take a picture w/o my mom! Apparently it was pretty amusing!

My parents ALWAYS come to the kids' birthday parties....they make the kids feel special!

It is very rare to get pictures of him not sleeping!!! hehe!

My boys LOVE that he has backhoes and dump trucks. They could hang out with him all day. This was always one of my favorite past times as a kid!

My dad will hold the kids no matter how much they weigh IF that is what the kid wants! When the kids were babies he would walk them around for hours. They loved it!
My dad was in Mesa last week for some training. Shaffen and I took the boys for a fast trip to sell our car. (YEAH!!!) We had dinner with my dad at Texas Roadhouse!!! My favorite (Thanks to whoever told me how many calories are in the rolls and butter....now I feel fatter!!! ) Anyways, Saturday was my dads party. So I thought it would be nice to have a present for him. I asked him what he wanted he told me nothing he has everything he needs. I asked about candy, sodas, suspenders, toothbrush, ANYTHING......he said no to everything. So I told him, "Don't worry I WILL find something you don't have!" And just like magic.....A Portable toilet!!!! I knew he didn't have one of those! He turned all red....we were laughing so hard! I am glad he has a good sense of humor.....he is a crack up! And I think he learned his lesson! :) hehe!
No matter how old we get my dad will still do anything and everything for us. He is such a good person, father, and Papa to my kids! My boys LOVE him tons!
Every time he comes to town we have a list of things for him to do on our houses here. He is always ready to help us out. We really love and appreciate all he does for us. He is so great (did I already say that???!!!)! I hope he had a great Birthday and I am glad I took the time to come!

Crazy life!

The months are flying by! Holy cow! Our lives have been turned upside down. I couldn't have imagined that it would change this much. I have lecture and lab 2 days a week, I am gone from 9am to 4:30-5:00. We have skills testing days 1-2 days a week. We have been taking tests in class over 10 plus chapters at a time, each chapter is over 40-100 pages long. And now I have started clinicals 2 days a week. I still work 1 day a week for 12 hours. My poor husband is working night shifts and 2 out of the 4 days he has to get up at 6:40am to get Covin off to school. As soon as Covin is gone Conner wakes up!!! We also got called to be teachers in the Nursery. Just another thing to add to our crazy lives. Shaffen on top of getting up with Covin for school now has to get up for church at 9am. Lately he has been getting off work between 4am and 5am. I am sure you can imaging what my house looks like. I think in the last 2 weeks I have made dinner 2 times. I feel like my nose is in the books 24/7. My poor kids.....when I ask them what they want for dinner they name restaurants now!! Funny, but I feel bad! Conner has decided that he does not want to be babysat anymore. He throws fits like crazy now. He never did before, he stomps his feet throws, himself on the floor, and screams like a mad man. He tells me he doesn't like me anymore and he is mad at me. I walk him to his room put him on his bed and tell him he can stay until he is happy again. I shut the door and tell him I don't want to hear him scream. Less than 5 minutes later he is 100% better. The door opens and he is giggling and telling me "Mama, I happy now, I all better!" He is such a mess.
When Covin started school I had signed up to take snacks for their little parties and his birthday ect. Well, I shouldn't have signed myself up I should have signed up Shaffen. He has had to do everything. All of the deliveries and everything. I haven't figured out how to manage my time.
I have the best husband in the world. He has helped me through these past few weeks. Meltdown after meltdown he is still very supportive. He always has my laundry done for me and the boys. Friday I came home to a clean house. Kitchen clean, dishes done, my floor swept and mopped, and laundry going. I don't know what I would do without him.
Hopefully, I can start getting this crazy life under control soon. I don't know how much more my family can take!
