Here we are waiting for the bus! It comes around 7:25 am. Conner decided this day to wake up when Covin got up at 6:45. Oh yes, grouchy ALL DAY!! When the bus came Covin jumped right on it and didn't look back! He was so excited, he has been waiting for this day since he was 2! That is how we potty trained him the "Yellow bus" and a scooter! Shaffen told him he couldn't ride it until he didn't pee his pants and he had to be 5. Yeah on his 5th birthday there was a lot of confusion! Off he went! Conner started crying. "Ovin (Covin) take my bus, it my turn!" All day long "Ovin take my bus!" He kept asking "Where Ovin go?" I tell him school. "Onner (Conner) go to school?" I tell him not yet and then he cries! It is so sad. For a little guy he does understand a lot!
So all of around 2:25 got in our truck to wait for Covin at the end of our street (very convenient). The bus stopped and I could see Covin in the window stand up and look out. Another kid got off and the bus driver waited and then closed the door and started to drive off. Covin didn't get off! Shaffen jumped out and chased the bus until she stopped. Shaffen said my little boy didn't get off! She doesn't know where all the kids go, it is only the 2nd day! Anyways, Covin jumped off this time and had a very worried look on his face. Rachel's kids ride the same bus. After all the investigations were over, the boys were sitting by each other and there was another kid in the same seat that wouldn't move for Covin to get out. They also noticed that our truck wasn't at our house so I think Covin didn't think we were home. Although we were right in front of them! Carlee was yelling at the bus driver to stop but she didn't listen until Shaffen chased her! What a mess!
This week we also started Flag Football. The boys LOVE it!!! We were all concerned about the boys being wore out from school and didn't know how they would react. They all do so great! There is no whining, no complaining they are just so excited! I think it is because they (meaning Covin, Carsen (Nikki's Carsen) and Landen (Lance and Lisa's) were able to play on the same team! They love playing together anyways, they are so excited to see each other! They are fun to watch, well as much as we can watch we are all chasing the other boys around!
So Covin being gone most of the day is weird! Conner is confused and it is pretty quiet around our house. I didn't cry when I left him, my eyes started watering but I don't like to cry in front of people. If he wouldn't have wanted to stay I think that would have been hard! He is loving it! He played with Rylan Norton and Reagan on the first day. The next day it sounded like he played with the boys and Reagan played with the girls. He is funny he told me that he saw Reagan and Callie at lunch and they were waving so big to me and yelling my name, So I waved back. Shaffen asked him if there were any cute girls in his class and he said yeah there are a few and I sit by 2 of them! Covin didn't even get embarrassed about it, it was hilarious! I am not sure how I was expecting him to act when he got home but I think the kid grew up a few years! He just sat down by me and started telling me about school. He ate all of his dinner (which is always a fight) helped me with Conner and didn't fight with him the whole evening! He seriously acted like he was 10! That is when I got really sad! They are getting so big. We have been talking about them going to school for years and it finally came.....TO FAST!!!!

Poor Conner! Landon cries too if he's awake when Carlee and Dallin leave, so I try to make sure he isn't :) He's been pretty bored with me all day...I don't play enough.
Poor baby, Conner, Now it is time for lil sis to come along.
So Conner can be a big brother.
Love ya Grama Bonnie
O the days of kindergarten. I love it, and miss it. Your boys are hilarious. what does Conner do without him all day>
Oh how cute! I'm so not ready for Kaden to start Kindergarten next year!
I see you figured out how to change your background:) I can't believe he is so brave with the bus. How sad. They are just too big and independant.
Misty--
Love the bus story! And Reagan can't wait to watch the boys play football. Of course she thinks she should play too--but I think we've talked her out of it for the time being! I cracks me up that Reagan and Covin still play together at school--I'm glad they are such good friends. They are growing up--and it is fun, exciting, and just plain scary!
Love the new background!
The bus is an unique experience. Some kids love it and some hate it. I've had my rounds with the bus driver lots of times. I think the most important thing is to make sure you are always waiting outside for him. I still love it when Adam sees me and starts running. It's like he's 2 again! So glad that Covin loves school.
Love,
Dana
See, you need to have another one to keep Conner busy!!!!!
