Busy, busy

We started our week off with a trip to the Temple open house! It was awesome! We couldn't take our camera out so we did not get any pictures there at the Temple. My boys LOVED it. Conner knew way more about the Temple than I ever knew. They loved the entire thing. Conner absolutely loved the whole experience. Every room we went into he would make a comment. They put the shoe covers on all of our feet and Conner asked, "Why do I got to wear wrappers on my feet?" Most of the people that were in our group kept laughing at him. He walked up the hallways making sure the "wrapper" would be hitting together to make noise. When we went into the bridal room he helped himself right up on the couch and I helped him right back down! In the Sealing room he told me this is where you get married. I am amazed at how much he knows! He loved the Celestial room. The chandelier is amazing. He walked in and said "Wow, that's awesome!" Everyone started laughing. It was an awesome experience and I want to go again. The feeling is unexplainable. I REALLY REALLY loved taking my kids in there, it makes you realized why family is soo important. I cannot believe that we have a Temple less than 5 minutes from our house. It is so surreal.

We did not get any pictures at the Temple so we stopped by Jarrod and Nikki's so we could have at least one picture!

The next day Conner's class had a field trip to the Fire Station. Conner wants to be a Fireman when he grows up. He was REALLY excited, you can't really tell. He would have rather gone by himself because he does not like to wait for a turn.

Conner and Lathen.

Conner's class.

Next we have started Baseball. Covin is going to be in 2 leagues. Right now he is playing in Safford. His coach is really into teaching these boys how to play. They have come a long way in 3 weeks.

He has been practicing almost everyday. Shaffen set him up in our back yard. He hasn't struck out. Only 1 kid on his team has in 3 games. They are pretty good!

He wanted a picture of him hitting the ball. He made it! Today we get to play Carsen's team. That should be fun!!!!

This last weekend we traveled to Springerville to celebrate my Grandma's 80th birthday. She just remarried and it was also her husbands birthday. My mom and her siblings made us all lunch and all different kinds of cake to choose from.
Here is my Grandma and her husband Walter.
She is still so beautiful! We just love her so much. She seems soooo HAPPY!!!! That makes me happy!

Me and my honey!

My mom and dad. AKA Grandma Toni and Papa.

Some of the crazy kids running around!

The rest of the crazy kids!

After Grandma's party we drove to Show Low to watch Richie and my dad race. It was SOOOO cold. We were not expecting it to be that cold. We were all shivering. Conner stayed with my mom, he did not want to go, I am glad he didn't go cause he would have been miserable. Covin was a trooper! Richie ended up getting 3rd after 2-3 cautions. He was in first for a majority of the race and then got passed with about three laps left. It was still fun to watch.
My dad's race was hilarious. He drives the cars that can crash. He was crashing and spinning out. I don't know how many times. But we were cracking up.
Sunday we had to travel home. Around 10:30 am it started snowing. We didn't think much of it until 2pm rolled around and it looked like this!
My kids love the snow. We were not expecting snow at all. Not even the news forcasted this! I think it said partly cloudy.

So before we left the boys needed to have a snowball fight with Papa. And here is Papa under attack!

If you look close you can see all the snow he was hit with by Conner.
Covin would pack the snowballs and Conner would just pick up a huge pile and throw it. My dad would try to catch it and it would explode.
The boys under attack. My dad would catch Covin's snowballs and throw them right back.
He we are trying to drive home. It was crazy for about an hour. A little scary, there were cars on the side of the road who had slid.

We finally made it home. It was a LONG drive according to Conner. He was miserable. He kept telling us that Grandma and Richie should not live in "Springerbil." He decided it is to far away and they should just move here! He is funny.
This week hopefully flys by, tomorrow is my last day of class (I am overwhelmed with joy!!). Then Monday I take my final and then we are off to California!!!! WHAAHOOO!!!!

I agree with you, it makes me SO happy to see Granny happy. I'm so sad that I missed everyone. That would have been so much fun.

That much snow is crazy! Glad you made it home safe. Good luck with your final, and have a blast at Disneyland!
